WEST LAFAYETTE − The first domino in Purdue football’s roster departures is now known.
Freshman tight end Tayvion Galloway announced on social media he’ll enter the transfer portal when it opens on Dec. 9.
With Max Klare, Drew Biber and George Burhenn already on Purdue’s roster, the 6-foot-5 Galloway redshirted this season. He did not play in any games and will have four years of eligibility remaining.
Galloway signed with Purdue’s 2024 class as a three-star prospect by 247Sports out of Pickerington, Ohio.

Galloway had more than 30 offers, including many Power 4 programs. His announcement that he’ll enter the portal came on the same day Purdue’s 2025 signing class had two other players from Ohio – linebacker Grant Beerman and offensive tackle Kuol Kuol – decommit. Galloway’s cousin, four-star cornerback Dawayne Galloway, decommitted last month.
