COLLEGE STATION — A smile plastered to his face, Texas football running back Quintrevion Wisner jogged off Kyle Field to a three-syllable serenade from the fans in burnt orange surrounding the Longhorns’ tunnel.
“S-E-C,” they yelled. “S-E-C! S-E-C!”
Saturday night, Wisner carried the Texas offense on his back to the pinnacle of the Longhorns’ new conference. He touched the ball on 35 of the Longhorns’ 78 offensive snaps, accumulating a career-high 186 rushing yards to lift Texas to a 17-7 victory that earned them a rematch with Georgia in the SEC championship game.

“Tired?” he said, a twinge of incredulousness in his voice. “Tired? Tired?”
Against the Aggies, Wisner was not fatigue’s victim. Instead, he wielded it like a weapon.
