Michigan State football lands 2025 DB Evan Young

Michigan State’s secondary coach Blue Adams works with players during the first day of football camp on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in East Lansing.

In a mere minutes after Michigan State football has lost the commitment of LaRue Zamorano, the Spartans have added a commitment to the defensive backfield. Evan Young has made the decision to make the commitment to Michigan State, crediting Blue Adams for leading the charge on his recruitment.

Young is a 6-foot, 180 pound defensive back from Lufkin, Texas. He recently spoke to Spartans Wire about his recruitment.

The Spartans are now back to 16 commits, adding a defensive back after losing one. Young is a plus player that most likely translates to the safety or nickel spots in the defensive backfield.
