OXFORD — Although a lot of Ole Miss football’s emphasis on roster transformation has been placed on the transfer portal, the Rebels are still a major player in high school recruiting.
In a busy week where the Rebels are jockeying for a spot in the College Football Playoff and coach Lane Kiffin is making his best arguments, attention shifts to signing day 2024 on Wednesday. Ole Miss hosted recruits over the Egg Bowl weekend.
“We’ve had great responses from them about where Ole Miss is and wanting to come here,” Kiffin said Sunday.
Ole Miss football recruiting rankings before national signing day 2024
The Rebels are putting together a solid recruiting class.
Ole Miss’ 2025 recruiting class is No. 15 nationally, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings. The Rebels rank No. 10 in the SEC behind Georgia (1), Alabama (2), Texas (4), Auburn (5), LSU (6), Tennessee (9), Texas A&M (10), Florida (12) and Oklahoma (14).
Ole Miss football recruiting class 2025
The Rebels’ class has 21 players committed in total, including one five-star player in 6-foot-1, 190-pound receiver Caleb Cunningham. Ole Miss has 11 four-star players and nine three-star players.
Ole Miss football recruiting targets for Lane Kiffin
Ole Miss may not be done picking up players. The Rebels are targeting four-star quarterback Deuce Knight, who is committed to Auburn. Knight is 24/7 the No. 28 overall prospect in the class. Knight, a 6-foot-4 dual-threat passer, is from George County.
Offensive lineman Connor Howes, a four-star recruit, is another player the Rebels are hoping to land. Howes, a 6-foot-5, 295-pound tackle, has been committed to Arkansas. He visited Ole Miss on the weekend before signing day.
When is football signing day 2024?
Early signing day starts Wednesday Dec 4. The period closes later in the week on Friday Dec 6.
