Michigan football adds DL Travis Molten to 2025 recruiting class on early signing day

Michigan football has landed its second pass rushing recruit in the past two days to add to the Wolverines’ top-10 recruiting class for 2025.

Three-star defensive end Travis Molten from Louisville, Kentucky, announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Wednesday morning. He was one of the first players Michigan announced as part of its new recruiting class to open the three-day early signing period. Molten joined Michigan a day after four-star edge rusher Nate Marshall re-committed to the Wolverines.

Molten’s commitment brings Michigan’s 2025 recruiting class to 22 players. As a senior at Fern Creek Traditional High School in Louisville, Molten recorded 95 tackles, including 30 for loss, and 19½ sacks as a senior.

Prior to early National Signing Day, Michigan had the 7th-ranked recruiting class with 21 recruits committed according to 247sports. The class is headlined by five-star Belleville quarterback Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 overall recruit in the class, and five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola from Kansas.

The Wolverines are maintaining the momentum heading into the offseason. Michigan flipped the two top recruits in Michigan, Underwood and his teammate, four-star safety Elijah Dotson. It carried over the field with a massive upset over rival Ohio State to clinch a 7-5 record and fourth straight victory over its bitter rivals.
