Silly season has officially begun, meaning there are about to be tons of flips and commits and incoming and outgoing transfers like we’ve never seen before. And certainly, Michigan football isn’t immune to bad news, despite the recent win over Ohio State.
The Wolverines already are losing their top receiver to the transfer portal as junior Tyler Morris has decided to finish off his career elsewhere. Now the maize and blue are losing a reserve running back.
Tavierre Dunlap came from the state of Texas to Ann Arbor in the 2021 season along with Donovan Edwards. But Dunlap never quite took ahold, with 22 carries for 138 yards in his career. This season, he posted a career low of one carry for 20 yards, but he also scored his first touchdown (vs. Northwestern). And according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, he will finish out his career elsewhere, as he’s entering the transfer portal.

Dunlap preserved his redshirt in 2021 as he only appeared in two games. He’ll have one season of eligibility remaining.
