3-star Texas S Evan Young signs with MSU on National Signing Day

One of the Spartans’ most recent verbal commits made it official on National Signing Day.

Three-star safety Evan Young signed with Michigan State on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day. Young verbally committed to Michigan State earlier this week and hails from Lufkin, Texas.

Young ranks as the No. 71 safety prospect in 247Sports’ rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 129 overall prospect from Texas.

Young also held offers from Louisana, North Texas, Texas State, UTEP, Wyoming, UTSA, Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern.
