Cayuga picks up 17 all-district football nominations

Dec. 4—The Cayuga Wildcats landed 17 players on the 8-2A All-District football team as selected by the district coaches.

Following a fourth-place finish, the Wildcats had two players receive superlatives in Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year senior Zach Johnson and Co-Defensive Lineman of the Year in junior Cam Stegall.

Senior Shiloh Peckham was named first-team running back, senior Trace Sims was named first-team linebacker, senior Dominic Johnson was named first-team wide receiver and junior Hayden Schranck was named first-team tight end.

Cayuga had four players named to the second-team in junior defensive back Harris Reynolds, sophomore quarterback Kase Dickson, senior linebacker Jaden Davis and sophomore offensive lineman Harlan Walzel.

Honorable mention selections went to junior defensive lineman Keith Wicker, junior offensive linemen Cameron Thompson, junior Justice Larkin and junior Dylan Crawford, freshman kicker Ethan Castenada, freshman outside linebacker Caiden Lightfoot and junior cornerback Kayden Edwards.
