The 2025 Notre Dame football recruiting class has been signed, and we now can officially call each of them a member of the Irish program.
A collection of 25 players, which is one of the better groups across the country, as the Irish have seen a spike in recruiting since Marcus Freeman took over as the head coach. While this won’t go down as his best class, it’s still an impressive collection of prospects from across the country.
Find out below some superlatives to this class, as I go over who the best prospects are, who is underrated, who could take home some hardware in the future, and my favorite player on both sides of the ball.
Top prospect – offense
This isn’t a sexy pick, but it’s a smart one as offensive tackle Will Black is that dude. He’s absolutely massive at 6-foot, 7-inches and 295-pounds, and has risen up the rankings significantly over the course of his high school career. Notre Dame isn’t afraid to throw a freshman offensive tackle into the fire, and Black could be the next one that does.
Top prospect – defense
Another fairly easy choice, as safety Jadon Blair is the guy for me. He fits the mold of exactly what the Irish want their safeties to look like, as the North Carolina native stands 6-foot, 4-inches and weighs 190-pounds. He’ll most likely add on some weight when he arrives on campus, and could see early playing time like some of his future teammates like Adon Shuler and Kennedy Urlacher did.
Underrated – offense
While the Irish missed out on some top wide receiver targets in the cycle, they did land Elijah Burress. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 175-pounder had a massive senior season…
