Penn State football is preparing to face its toughest test of the 2024 season.
The No. 3 Nittany Lions (11-1) will try to win a Big Ten championship on Saturday against the nation’s No. 1 Oregon Ducks in Indianapolis (8:17 p.m., CBS).
There’s a lot on the line for James Franklin’s Lions beyond that title, though. They’ll be fighting for the best College Football Playoff position possible. They also get a second chance, following an early November loss to Ohio State, to prove to the nation how good they really are.
And no one knows about proving in league title games better than Joe Moorhead − a former offensive coordinator for Penn State and Oregon.
Moorhead, who’s now the head coach at Akron, talks about it all with longtime York Daily Record beat reporter Frank Bodani, Mike Gross from Lancaster Newspapers and former TV anchor Andrew Kalista on their weekly Nittany Lion podcast.
