A local player primed for a big role in 2025 has opted to leave the Arkansas football program.
Isaiah Sategna announced his intention to enter the transfer portal Wednesday night, hours after the Razorbacks signed 22 recruits on early signing day. Sategna graduated from Fayetteville High School and was a consensus four-star prospect in the 2022 class.
Sategna is coming off the best season of his career as a redshirt sophomore in 2024. He hauled in 37 catches for 491 yards and a touchdown. He was second on the team in both receptions and yards. He also served as the Hogs’ punt and kick returner for most of the year.
Here’s a look at what Sategna’s transfer means for the wide receiver room moving forward:
Arkansas football wide receivers at the bowl game
The Razorbacks will learn their bowl destination on Sunday, but they already know they’ll be without their top two receivers. Andrew Armstrong announced he would be skipping the bowl game and declaring for the NFL draft earlier this week.

Their absences will present more opportunities for seniors Isaac TeSlaa and Tyrone Broden, but they also allow Arkansas the opportunity to get a closer look at some of the younger pass catchers on the roster. Jordan Anthony and CJ Brown will be thrust into bigger roles and could create some momentum heading into an important offseason for both players.
There’s also a chance Arkansas targets tight end Luke Hasz more in the passing game without Sategna and Armstrong. Hasz led the Hogs with four touchdown receptions.
