Second Michigan State football wide receiver enters transfer portal

Michigan State wide receiver Aziah Johnson (11) warms up before the Maryland game at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023.

A day after Michigan State saw wide receiver Jaron Glover enter the NCAA transfer portal, the Spartans have lost another wide receiver to the portal.

Aziah Johnson has made the decision to transfer out of the Michigan State program. As a redshirt freshman, Johnson played in all 12 games racking up 16 catches for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns.

This is a departure that was known within the program, and may be linked to the post-game comments made by Aidan Chiles after Rutgers.

The Spartans will be in the market for a couple of wide receivers in this upcoming portal season.
