For only the third time, three Orlando area teams are playing in FHSAA football state championship games in Miami this week.
Kissimmee Osceola, which has reveled in the underdog role, plays undefeated West Boca Raton in Friday afternoon’s Class 6A final, followed by Jones High seeking to wrap up a perfect season in the 4A title game. Lake Mary plays its first-ever football final on Saturday afternoon in 7A. All three area teams won state semifinals last week but are now underdogs according to MaxPreps power rankings.
The most recent area FHSAA football champion was Seminole in 2020.
The Orlando Sentinel scoreboard will track all the games and include updates for all seven games at Pitbull Stadium on the Florida International University campus. Here is the list, with computerized FHSAA classification rankings that were used to seed the semifinals:
