Watertown senior offensive lineman Karter Engels announces commitment to Augustana University

Another Watertown High School senior football offense lineman is taking his game to the next level.

Karter Engels, a 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive lineman, for the state Class 11AA champion Arrows this fall announced Monday on X account (formerly known as Twitter) that has committed to NCAA Division II Augustana University in Sioux Falls.

“First off, i want to thank God for the abilities and strength he has given me. Next I want to thank my mom for supporting me through thick and thin,” Engels wrote. “Lastly, I want to thank my family, coaches and friends for morphing me into the person I am today.

“With all that said, I’m excited to announce I will further my football and academic career at Augustana University.”
