Jalen Milroe added to his legacy as an Alabama football quarterback Tuesday night.
The Alabama redshirt junior was named as the 35th recipient of the William V. Campbell Trophy by the National Football Foundation.
Known as the “Academic Heisman,” is an award given to the player who best combined academic success, football performance and leadership.
Alabama offensive lineman Barrett Jones also won the award in 2012.
Milroe graduated cum laude in December 2023 with a 3.52 GPA majoring in management. He is pursuing a master’s degree in sports management. He made the President’s List along with being a three-team SEC Honor Roll and Dean’s List honoree.
On the football field, Milroe has 33 career rushing touchdowns – more than any other quarterback in Alabama history – along with 5,824 passing yards and 44 passing touchdowns.
