LSU is just over two weeks away from its Texas Bowl meeting with Baylor.

LSU’s roster will look different, but that’s the norm for bowl games these days. The transfer portal and draft opt-outs have forced teams to be adaptable.

Earlier this week, LSU left tackle Will Campbell announced he would not play in the bowl game as he prepares for the NFL Draft. On Friday, LSU head coach Brian Kelly hinted that right tackle Emery Jones will be in the same boat.

Jones declared for the NFL Draft last week but didn’t explicitly state his bowl game plans.

In an ideal world, Kelly said Campbell and Jones would start in the bowl game, but he’s excited for their next step. With both starting tackles out, LSU’s depth will be tested.

“Tyree Adams will get an opportunity,” Kelly said, “We have great confidence in him.”

Kelly said guard Paul Mubenga, along with Redshirt freshman center DJ Chester, will continue to play.

Bo Bordelon, who has worn 89 at points this season to serve as an additional tight end, can shift back to offensive line.

“We really like the progression of Weston Davis, that can play tackle for us on both sides,” Kelly said.

Kelly expects veteran Miles Frazier to play and said bumping Frazier to tackle is an option.
