Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Jahlil Hurley (25) grabs onto Missouri Tigers running back Marcus Carroll (9) during the fourth quarter at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Oct. 26, 2024.
After entering the transfer portal earlier this month, Alabama Crimson Tide defensive back Jahlil Hurley has now officially made a decision as to where he will play college football in 2025, committing to the Kansas Jayhawks.
Hurley is the second Alabama transfer to make a decision so far, joining edge rusher Keanu Koht who committed to Vanderbilt.

A former four-star prospect, Hurley was originally a member of Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class out of in-state Florence High School. Hurley did not play much however over his two seasons at Alabama, with his lone stats over that span coming this year where he compiled one tackle.
Not only is Hurley the lone Alabama cornerback to enter the transfer portal so far this cycle, but he was also the third Crimson Tide player overall to announce his intentions, which came Dec. 3. The lone two players to make their transfer portal intentions known before Hurley were Jehiem Oatis and the aforementioned Koht.
