Dec. 15: Indiana football signed Northern Illinois cornerback Amariyun Knighten. He’s a defensive back with 25 career games (14 starts) and two years of eligibility left. He was being courted by a number of other Power Four schools including some of IU’s Big Ten rivals like Maryland, Michigan State and Nebraska.

Dec 15: Indiana added a pair of specialists for 2025 — Texas State kickoff specialists Brendan Franke and UCF punter Mitch McCarthy. The Hoosiers needed to replace longtime starter punter James Evans, who was a four-year starter at the school. They replaced him with a fellow Aussie that has plenty of experience.

Dec. 13: Indiana football wide receiver E.J. Williams withdrew his name from the transfer portal. He left the team in October with plans to take advantage of his redshirt year and sign with another team. Williams, who started out his career at Clemson, has 772 career receiving yards in 45 games.
