Dec. 19—The Rochester Community and Technical College football team had four players named NJCAA Division III All-Americans.
Defensive end Javieane Stevens was named to a First Team All-American. Stevens is a 6-foot, 215-pound freshman from Ft. Myers, Fla., who led the team in total tackles (65), sacks (16.5) and tackles for loss (17).
Two Yellowjackets have been named Second Team All-Americans.
Receiver Jaylen Williams, a 5-8, 150-pound freshman from Orlando, Fla., was second on the team in receptions (35), receiving yards (795), and tied for the lead in touchdowns (6). He led RCTC in yards per reception (22.7).
Kicker Rashdan Tebyasa was also named to the Second Team. The 5-11, 205-pound sophomore from London, England, was 5-for-5 on field-goal attempts and 24-for-26 on point-after touchdown kicks. He also punted 15 times and had a long of 53 yards.
Rochester Century High School graduate Ryan Lavoi, a sophomore offensive lineman for RCTC, was named an honorable mention All-American. The 6-foot-2, 305-pounder led a line that paved the way for an offense that generated 376.1 yards per game, including 279.3 passing yards per game.
RCTC finished its season 5-5 under second-year head coach Terrence Isaac Sr.
