Gus Edwards 1-yard touchdown ties Chargers-Broncos at 7-7

The Broncos scored first on Thursday night, but it didn’t take the Chargers long to respond.

Gus Edwards powered his way into the end zone on Los Angeles’ second possession, capping an eight-play drive with a touchdown to tie the score at 7-7.

Running back Kimani Vidal had one of the big plays on the drive, running 19 yards down to the Denver 35. Then on third-and-2, quarterback Justin Herbert took advantage of a free play with a defensive offside penalty to find receiver Joshua Palmer for a 24-yard gain down to Denver’s 3-yard line.

A couple of plays later, Edwards was in the end zone for a 1-yard score.

It was Edwards’ third rushing touchdown of the season.
