The College Football Playoff schedule continues on Saturday evening when No. 5 seed Texas hosts No. 12 seed Clemson and No. 8 seed Ohio State hosts No. 9 seed Tennessee. Texas is coming off an overtime loss to Georgia in the SEC Championship, giving the Longhorns a chance to host a playoff game. Clemson earned the final spot in the College Football Playoff bracket with a win over SMU in the ACC Championship two weeks ago.
Texas is a 13.5-point favorite in the College Football Playoff odds, while the over/under for total points scored is 49.5. The winner of that game will advance to face No. 4 seed Arizona State in the Peach Bowl on Jan. 1.
Saturday’s slate concludes with a showdown between the Buckeyes and Vols at Ohio Stadium in Columbus. Ohio State is a 7-point favorite in the college football odds, which is down a half point from the opener (7.5). The Texas vs. Clemson game begins at 4 p.m. ET, while the Ohio State vs. Tennessee matchup starts at 8 p.m. ET.
