Former Penn State quarterback finds new home in the SEC

Former Penn State quarterbackBeau Pribula now knows where his new home in college football will be starting next season. The redshirt sophomore quarterback spent the last week going on various visits after entering the transfer portal on Dec. 15.

Pribula will transfer to Missouri his agency told Matt Zenitz of 247Sports. In addition to Missouri, Pribula visited Iowa, UCF and Ole Miss. He seemed to come to a decision rather quickly this week as he canceled a previously scheduled visit to Indiana.

The York, Pa. Native has two season of eligibility remaining after spending his first three seasons of college in State College. He primarily backed up Drew Allar the past two years coming into games as a change-of-pace option. This season Pribula completed 26 of 35 passes for 275 yards and five touchdowns with one interception. His best attribute throughout his college career was his ability to run the ball. This year Pribula rushed 38 times for 242 yards and four touchdowns.

The transfer decision made national headlines due to it coming right before the College Football Playoff. Penn State was forced to play against SMU without their backup quarterback because of college football’s current landscape.

Pribula joined a Missouri Tigers team on the rise with the program going 9-3 this season earning a spot in the Music City Bowl. Pribula will join, freshman Matt Zollers, another Pennsylvania quarterback in the Tigers’ quarterback room who was the No. 7 quarterback in the 2025 class. The two will likely compete for the Tigers’ starting quarterback role with Pribula having the early edge due to his experience.
