Chiefs strike again, up 13-0 in first quarter

All the Steelers want for Christmas is a defensive stop, but they haven’t gotten one yet.

Patrick Mahomes threw his second touchdown pass in as many possessions and Harrison Butker made the extra point this time, so the Chiefs lead 13-0 in Pittsburgh with four minutes left to play in the first quarter.

It looked like the Steelers might get off the field in three plays, but Mahomes found running back Samaje Perine with a backhand flip while scrambling for a 14-yard gain on 3rd-and-11 from their own 20-yard-line to keep the drive alive. Mahomes hit a more conventional pass to Justin Watson for a 49-yard gain on the next play and then found Watson for an 11-yard score to end the drive.

Russell Wilson has been sacked twice in the first two Steelers possessions and the Steelers have just one yard to show for their offensive efforts thus far.
