The 2024 college football season is approaching, with spring football behind us and fans eagerly awaiting the start of another season.
The ACC, along with many other conferences in the game, looks a lot different in 2024. There are three new teams in the ACC: the SMU Mustangs, the Stanford Cardinal, and the Cal Golden Bears. Each team brings different things to the conference, and the ACC refused to fall behind in the world of college football’s expansion. These teams add talent to the conference, but it goes beyond that.
Each team added brings helmets to the conference, and we’re here to compare every helmet in the ACC to see who has the best. I’m sure the top two won’t surprise many, but the rest of the conference has some awesome helmets. Here is a look at our ACC helmet rankings for 2024.

Of every helmet we’re going to look at, these are the only ones in the ACC that I believe are genuinely ugly. The color scheme is unique, which isn’t a bad thing. They just do a terrible job of taking advantage of the unique colors. This helmet is ugly.

You’ll hear me talk about simplicity from time to time here, but this is not one of those cases where it’s a benefit. Compared to other gold concept helmets, this one is bottom tier. It’s not bad, it’s just not good.

The Demon Deacons helmets are just “meh” for me. They’ve got a strong color scheme, but that’s all. My biggest issue with this helmet is that it just feels like a waste of potential. Wake Forest could do far better with these helmets.
