STILLWATER — Mike Gundy opened all the gifts under the Transfer Tree and found that Portal Santa had delivered quite a haul for his Oklahoma State football team.
With his rebuilt coaching staff in place, Gundy and the Cowboys are up to 16 transfer portal additions this offseason, plus a few more from the junior college ranks and a late add in the high school signing class.
In the last week alone, the Pokes have pulled in eight transfer portal additions, plus a trio of junior-college commitments and a high school prospect in some positions of need.
Let’s take a look at three key areas of the Cowboys’ holiday haul.

Defensive depth
Of the 12 total additions over the last week, seven were on the defensive side of the ball.
And the experience range runs the full spectrum from super-senior to high school signee.
In need of another big body for the middle of the defensive line, the Cowboys added Demerick Morris from Temple. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound super-senior has 42 tackles over 37 career games and adds to a senior-heavy group led by Justin Kirkland, Iman Oates and Aden Kelley.
OSU still could use some younger players at the position, but has firmed up its depth for 2025.
The Pokes also added another defensive end in Kyran Duhon from UTEP, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound edge rusher. He is the fifth defensive end addition between the portal and signing class, which gives the Cowboys 10 defensive ends on the roster, though a couple of those guys could work their way toward the interior.
