Projecting Colorado’s starting lineup in the Alamo Bowl

For the most part, Colorado football’s starting lineup in Saturday’s Alamo Bowl likely won’t differ much compared to what the Buffs ran out late in the regular season. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter are both expected to play full snaps, and other veteran Buffs are looking to close their college careers strong against BYU.

The most notable change in Colorado’s starting lineup will come at linebacker, as Nikhai Hill-Green recently transferred to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Head coach Deion Sanders will also likely be without Phillip Houston, who started nine games at right tackle before suffering an injury.

Kickoff between the Buffs and Cougars is set for 5:30 p.m. MT on Saturday (ABC).

Below is my starting lineup projection for Colorado’s Alamo Bowl matchup with BYU:

Quarterback — Shedeur Sanders

Recent Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner Shedeur Sanders will close his illustrious college career in the Alamo Bowl.

Running Back — Micah Welch
