Earlier this month, LSU football inked the bulk of its 2025 recruiting class. Transfer portal season isn’t over and there’s always a chance LSU adds a high-school recruit in the second signing period, but most of the recruiting work for 2025 is done.
Now, our attention turns to the next cycle. Over the next few months, the battles for 2026’s top recruits will heat up. LSU, as usual, expects to make a run at some of the best players in the country.
The football talent in Louisiana is rich, and 2026 is no different. The state will offer LSU a handful of blue-chip recruits that can lay the foundation for a strong class.
LSU is also hoping for an improved NIL operation to catapult it into the conversation with top recruits nationally.
The sport is still changing with revenue sharing upon us. This could change the way recruiting looks, with schools able to pay players directly. The details are far from worked out.
In the meantime, let’s look at Louisiana’s top recruits in 2026.
7. Defensive tackle Dylan Berymon
Even with Jahkeem Stewart reclassifying to 2025, it’s a good year for defensive tackles in Louisiana. Dylan Berymon is part of that.
Rivals is high on Berymon, slotting the Louisiana prospect as the No. 10 defensive linemen in the country. In the On3 Industry Rankings, Berymon is the No. 232 overall prospect and the No. 23 ranked defensive tackle.
LSU is in on Berymon and like any blue-chip in Louisiana, the Tigers should be considered the early favorite. But Berymon has offers from Texas and Oregon, meaning LSU will have to fend off some of the nation’s top-money schools.
6. Wide receiver Jabari Mack
Louisiana is known for its blue-chip wide receivers. Every cycle, the boot is sure to produce some of the countries top pass catchers. In 2026, the top name is Jabari Mack.
