Jayden Daniels’ second TD throw has Commanders within 17-14 of Falcons

The Commanders took the second half kickoff and went 69 yards in 15 plays to draw within 17-14 of the Falcons.

Washington scored on Jayden Daniels’ 10-yard touchdown pass to tight end Zach Ertz on third-and-8. Ertz also had a 37-yard catch on the drive after receiver K.J. Osborn was called for a holding penalty.

The Commanders also converted a fourth-and-1 on the Atlanta 16 when Daniels faked the handoff to Brian Robinson and kept around the right end for a 4-yard gain.

Daniels is 15-of-22 for 153 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He also leads the Commanders with 37 yards on four carries.

Ertz now has three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown.

The Commanders are playing without center Tyler Biadasz, who is questionable to return with a left ankle injury.
