TCU transfer linebacker Kylan Salter commits to CU Buffs

.

TCU transfer Kylan Salter, the younger brother of recent Colorado football quarterback signee Kaidon Salter, announced his commitment to the Buffs on Friday.

Kylan is a 6-foot-2, 225-pound linebacker who spent the past two seasons in the Big 12 Conference at TCU. After missing all of 2023 due to injury, he played in seven games this past season and recorded two tackles.

A former three-star prospect from Cedar Hill, Texas, Salter was recruited by former Colorado head coach Karl Dorrell and his staff before landing at TCU. Salter received an offer from CU in December 2021 and visited Boulder the following summer.

Salter is the second transfer linebacker to join the Buffs this offseason, joining former Jacksonville State standout Reginald Hughes. Class of 2025 three-star linebacker Mantrez Walker also signed early last month.
