Alabama football DB King Mack to enter NCAA transfer portal | Reports

One season after transferring from Penn State, Alabama football defensive back King Mack is back in the transfer portal.

Mack, a former four-star safety in the 2023 class, told the Alabama staff Friday his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal after one season with the Crimson Tide with two years of eligibility, per multiple reports

After appearing in 13 games for the Nittany Lions in 2023 mostly on special teams duty, Mack had 14 tackles for Alabama in 13 games where he played both on defense and special teams.

Mack played both safety spots, cornerback and Husky for the Crimson Tide in 2024.

Mack is the 18th Alabama player to enter the transfer portal, and the fifth Alabama player to enter the portal since the Crimson Tide’s ReliaQuest Bowl loss to Michigan, joining linebacker Jeremiah Alexander, linebacker Jayshawn Ross, wide receiver Amari Jefferson and wide receiver Jaren Hamilton.
