Alabama football has added a depth piece to its offensive line in 2025.
Arkel Anugwom, a Ball State offensive tackle, told On3 he would join the Crimson Tide as a transfer with three years of eligibility.
Anugwom then posted pictures on his Instagram in Alabama gear with the caption “Us,” adding emojis of an elephant and a Nigerian flag.
Anugwom is the eighth player to join the Crimson Tide via the transfer portal along with Miami wide receiver Isaiah Horton, Florida defensive end Kelby Collins, Utah cornerback Cameron Calhoun, Texas A&M offensive lineman Kam Dewberry, Colorado linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, Cal long snapper David Bird and Colorado School of Mines punter Blake Doud.

The 6-foot-6, 325-pound tackle who moved to Antioch, Tennessee, from Nigeria, per On3, had limited playing time at left tackle for the Cardinals in 2024.
In 100 snaps in four games, Anugwom allowed five pressures, three hurries and a sack. He played 75 snaps in Ball State’s 42-21 regular-season loss to Ohio Nov. 29.
Anugwom was not ranked as a recruit in the 2023 class.

The majority of the depth on the Crimson Tide offensive line is at guard with players like Olaus Alinen, who moved to guard after being recruited as a tackle, Roq Montgomery and Geno VanDeMark.
Anugwom puts a barrier between Proctor, Formby and Pritchett, and tackles like Jackson Lloyd and Micah DeBose, who were each added by the Crimson Tide in the 2025 recruiting class.
