Make that three transfer quarterbacks for Purdue football this offseason.
Already with Malachi Singleton (Arkansas) and EJ Colson (UCF) in the fold, the Boilermakers landed a commitment from Washington State’s Evans Chuba on Saturday.
Chuba, a native of Montreal, redshirted this season for the Cougars and was ranked No. 1,175 prospect in the 247Sports Composite and No. 65 QB in the 2024 class coming out of Clearwater Academy (Fla.) He missed his senior season with a back injury, but passed for 2,163 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior.

Washington State coach Jake Dickert left Pullman for Wake Forest last month. Chuba will have four years of eligibility remaining.
The Boilermakers needed to restock the QB room with Hudson Card graduating and Ryan Browne (North Carolina) and Marcos Davila (Nebraska) exiting via the transfer portal. Sawyer Anderson, a 2025 QB signee, asked out of his letter of intent before committing to Arizona.
Prior to the transfer additions, redshirt sophomore Bennett Meredith was the last man standing in the QB room.
