CSU assistant coach Chad Savage is expected to be hired as an assistant coach with the USC football program.
Colorado State football assistant coach Chad Savage is expected to leave the Rams for USC.
Savage was CSU’s receivers coach and recruiting coordinator. He was ranked by 247Sports as the top recruiter in the Mountain West three seasons in a row.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported his move to USC.
Savage is a native of Reno, Nevada and worked with CSU coach Jay Norvell at Nevada before joining the Rams with Norvell ahead of the 2022 season.
He helped the development of star receiver Tory Horton as well the signing of high-profile recruits, including four-star receiver Jordan Ross. Savage is known for having deep connections to Los Angeles-area high schools.
Savage is expected to be USC’s tight ends and inside receivers coach.
