Michigan football has had a ton of success traversing the transfer portal this cycle, but it perhaps doesn’t feel like it to fans of the maize and blue, given that they’ve struck out on some of their top targets.
One of the priorities at the moment is cornerback, where the Wolverines hoped to get one of the Arizona defensive backs (Tacario Davis or Emmanuel Karnley) and had hosted Pitt CB Ryland Gandy for a visit before he committed to Indiana. But Michigan is in on the second-rated cornerback according to On3 with Washington corner Thaddeus Dixon having mutual interest in the maize and blue.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos (subscription required), Dixon will visit Ann Arbor on Sunday before he decides on one of his final five schools. He’ll also visit North Carolina and Ole Miss.

Michigan will have Jyaire Hill, Jo’Ziah Edmond, Zeke Berry, and freshman Shamari Earls in the running next year for starting cornerback roles, but has also lost Will Johnson, Aamir Hall, Kody Jones, and Myles Pollard this offseason.
