LSU football’s Kyren Lacy wanted on felony hit-and-run, negligent homicide charges

LSU football standout wide receiver Kyren Lacy is wanted on negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle charges.

In an issued press release, the Louisiana State Police said it began investigating a fatal accident that happened on Louisiana Highway 20 on Dec. 17. Herman Hall, age 78 and a former Marine, was killed in a head-on collision while he was a passenger in a 2017 Kia Sorrento that was involved in the incident.

Through the investigation, police determined that Lacy, driving in a 2023 Dodge Charger, “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline” into the oncoming lane of traffic in a don’t pass zone.

A pickup truck slammed on brakes and swerved right onto the shoulder of the highway to avoid a collision with Lacy’s vehicle and a 2017 Kia Cadenza quickly veered to the left to evade Lacy, but it made head-on impact with the Kia Sorrento.
