Auburn football improved its 2026 recruiting class Saturday by earning the commitment of a four-star wide receiver.
Devin Carter, a four-star wide receiver from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia, announced his commitment to Auburn during Saturday’s Navy All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. He chooses Auburn over LSU, Alabama, and Ohio State.
Carter led Douglas County in receiving during the 2024 season. He hauled in 41 passes for 669 yards and five scores as part of Douglas County’s semi-final run in the GHSA’s highest classification.
He is the second wide receiver commitment to commit to Auburn’s 2026 class, joining Denarius Gray of Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida. Auburn jumps from No. 11 to No. 6 in 247Sports’ 2026 recruiting rankings, and is now No. 3 in the SEC behind Texas A&M and Tennessee.
Carter is a 6-0, 175-pound wide receiver from Douglasville, Georgia. He is a four-star rated wide receiver by 247Sports and is the No. 29 overall recruit in the 2026 cycle according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He is the No. 4 wide receiver and the No. 4 recruit from Georgia for 2026.
