The Oklahoma Sooners have added 14 players in the transfer portal with a vast majority coming on the offensive side of the football.
Oklahoma’s brought in 10 players on offense, two on defense, and two on special teams. The Sooners will have a number of important position battles on offense this offseason as they try to rebound from the worst offensive performance of the last 25 years.
Defensively, the Sooners don’t have a lot of needs but did address some key spots with a couple of veteran additions.

The Oklahoma Sooners added the top player in the transfer portal in John Mateer. Mateer recorded 44 total touchdowns in 2024 with Washington State, and the Sooners are hoping he can recreate that production in his second year as a starter in Ben Arbuckle’s offense. Mateer will be the favorite to start for the Oklahoma Sooners after his productive season with the Cougars.
Cole Gonzales was a productive quarterback in his time with Western Carolina. He adds experience to the quarterback room and can sling it.
Wide Receiver: 4
