LSU football owns the top-ranked transfer portal class in college football. LSU head coach Brian Kelly promised an aggressive approach, and the staff backed it up.
Transfer season isn’t over yet with LSU still fighting to make additions in the secondary along with the offensive line, but the Tigers already signed several impact players across the roster.
Today, we’ll look at the five transfer portal additions with the best chance of starting in 2025.
The majority of LSU’s transfers will likely make a significant impact, whether they’re starting or not. But a few will take on major roles.
A few positions have an easier path than others. LSU is losing for starters on the offensive line meaning there’s plenty of playing time to be claimed there. At defensive end, LSU is losing Bradyn Swinson and Sai’Vion Jones to the NFL while Da’Shawn Womack hit the transfer portal. Transfers need to fill in there, too.
Here are the five transfer signings with the best chance to crack the starting lineup this fall.

Moore brings over 1,400 career snaps to LSU’s offensive line. With Virginia Tech, he played guard in 2023 and center in 2024. Versatility always increases a player’s chance of earning a starting job.
