Clemson football quarterback Cade Klubnik found a new way to get down The Hill at Memorial Stadium on Friday.
Upstate South Carolina was placed under a winter storm warning Friday and received between 1 and 3 inches of snow. With classes canceled at noon, Klubnik and his friends had some winter fun inside Memorial Stadium.
Instead of the typical run down The Hill, which was coined as “the most exciting 25 seconds in college football” by broadcaster Brent Musburger in 1985, Klubnik added a snowy twist. He dashed down The Hill through the snow on a cardboard sled.
Klubnik, who is from Austin, Texas, doesn’t get to experience snow often and embraced the conditions on Friday.
Klubnik announced he will return for his fourth year next season after helping Clemson win the ACC championship and leading the team to the CFP for the first time since 2020. He was one of many end-of-year starters who have eligibility remaining who decided to return for another season to compete for the national championship.
