BATON ROUGE — The NCAA transfer portal may be closed for most players in college football to enter, but for those who are already in can settle on their next destinations.
Former Texas A&M tight end Donovan Green, who has been in the portal since Dec. 30, announced his decision to transfer to LSU football via his social media accounts this weekend.
Green, who missed the entire 2023 season with an ACL injury, has had some issues staying healthy during his time in College Station. But when he’s been able to play, he was an effective pass catcher at the tight end position.
The 6-foot-4, 257-pounder has two years of eligibility remaining.

How Donovan Green will fit with LSU football’s roster

Green, along with Sharp, brings position-specific versatility to LSU’s tight end unit. He has the footwork and nimbleness to be a threat in the passing game while he’s strong enough to be a formidable blocker in the run…
