Penn State has officially beefed up the offensive line for 2025 with the signing of a former four-star lineman. Following news of TJ Shanahan’s commitment to the Nittany Lions out of the transfer portakl, it has been reported Penn State has now officially signed the former Texas A&M lineman, according to Pete Nakos on On3.
Shanahan is a 6’4, 323-pound interior offensive lineman from Orlando, Florida. Shanahan signed with Texas A&M out of high school in the Class of 2023 and spent two seasons with the Aggies. Shanahan appeared in just three games as a true freshman, allowing him to preserve his redshirt season of eligibility. That will give him three years of eligibility to use at Penn State.
Shanhana will join an offensive line unit that should already be in good shape for the 2025 season. He will also be another key player who will help pave the paths for Penn State’s returning running back duo of Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen, with both confirming they will be back next fall.
Shanahana ultimately committed to Penn State from the transfer portal over offers from Missouri.
