WEST LAFAYETTE — Nyland Green’s departure from a College Football Playoff team to Purdue football now has the cornerback heading to another team that was in this year’s postseason tournament.
Green, who played at Georgia for three seasons, including with two national championship teams, battled injuries and participated in just eight games in his one season with the Boilermakers.
Now, Green is headed to Arizona State, On3’s Hayes Fawcett first reported.
After 26 games at Georgia, Green saw his most consistent playing time when he was on the field at Purdue, registering a career-high 23 tackles, including two for loss. Green had five pass breakups and a forced fumble in 2024.
Arizona State went 11-3 and defeated Iowa State in the Big 12 championship to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff, where the Sun Devils lost to Texas in two overtimes.
