When Ohio State gears up for the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 20, New Hampshire will be well-represented on the sidelines.
Ohio State will take on Notre Dame on Monday, Jan. 20 at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the hunt for a national title.
Ryan Day, Ohio State’s head coach, and Chip Kelly, the team’s offensive coordinator, are both from New Hampshire. Both got their start as players at the University of New Hampshire.
The team is looking to secure its first CFP Championship win since the game’s inaugural run in 2015.

The CFP National Championship will be played on Monday, Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Long before becoming Ohio State’s head coach, Ryan Day was a football player at the University of New Hampshire.
Day is from Manchester and graduated from Manchester Central High School before attending UNH.
In Durham, he played defensive back and quarterback under Ohio State’s now-offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly. He also later worked with Kelly as a quarterbacks coach for two years in the NFL.
