Look: Ohio State linebacker Jack Sawyer destroys camera following hug with Ryan Day after fumble

Texas’ national championship hopes were not the only thing Ohio State football’s Jack Sawyer destroyed during the College Football Playoff Cotton Bowl semifinal.

The Buckeyes’ linebacker had a massive game in the 28-14 win to advance Ohio State to the national championship game on Monday vs Notre Dame at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Sawyer had three total tackles, a sack, a forced fumble returned for a touchdown, a tackle for loss and two pass breakups in the victory.

The scoop-and-score was an 83-yard return to deny the Longhorns a score to tie the game and put the Buckeyes up two touchdowns with just over two minutes remaining, serving as the dagger in Dallas.

Not only did Sawyer destroy the Longhorns’ national championship chances with the score, but a camera was also placed on Sawyer following the play. It did not last long, as a hug with coach Ryan Day ended up destroying the camera, which is shown in a video shared by the College Football Playoff account on Instagram on Tuesday.
