Hurley, who is 17, was found unresponsive but breathing in his vehicle ― a Dodge Charger ― by officials and firefighters, according to WBRZ, a local TV station. Hurley had a “large cut to his face,” but officials did not believe impairment was the cause of the crash, according to the WBRZ report.

Hurley was a four-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle from Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida. He was ranked the No. 357th overall prospect, the 25th-ranked QB and the 49th-ranked player in Florida, per 247 Sports Composite Rankings.

He did not appear as a true freshman in a game for the Tigers in 2024.
