Watch Ohio State’s Tre’Veyon Henderson play in College Football Playoff championship

HOPEWELL — Remember to watch Ohio State running back Tre’Veyon Henderson (32) play in the 2025 College Football Playoff championship game on Monday, Jan. 20. The Buckeyes will face off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

“Hopewell is so proud to see our hometown hero playing in the CFP National Championship. Tre’Veyon is a great example of the good that comes out of Hopewell. We are rooting for him and can’t wait to watch him,” Johnny Partin, Mayor of Hopewell, said.

Henderson, 22, was born and raised in Hopewell and is a senior at Ohio State University. His proud parents are LaKeesha Hayes-Winfield and Trenton Henderson. According to his mom, her son’s first name contains an apostrophe. It should be spelled like this: Tre’Veyon.

Tre’Veyon Henderson: Ohio State running back

The Ohio State Buckeyes beat the Oregon Ducks 41-21 in the Rose Bowl Game. Henderson scored two touchdowns. His 66-yard touchdown in the second quarter set an Ohio State Rose Bowl record for longest run.
