Tom Gallagher, former Blue Mountain head football coach, officially resigns

ORWIGSBURG — Former Blue Mountain head football coach Tom Gallagher officially resigned from his duties Wednesday.

Gallagher had been in the role the last four years and led the Eagles to a 25-18 record, including a 7-4 overall mark this past season.

Blue Mountain High School announced this Friday afternoon: “Coach Tom Gallagher accomplished many great things during his tenure at Blue Mountain School District. His dedication, passion, and commitment to building a positive culture has left an indelible mark on our players and community. He has been a strong role model for our players, instilling values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. We appreciate Coach Gal for his invaluable contributions to our district on and off the field, and we are hopeful that he will reconsider his decision and meet with us.”
