Ohio State football has 26 recruits signed for the 2025 recruiting class

Ohio State football signed a 26-member recruiting class during the early signing period with 13 players on offense, 13 on defense and two five-star prospects in quarterback Tavien St. Clair and cornerback Devin Sanchez.

Where does the OSU signing class rank heading into signing day?

Heading into the Feb. 5 signing day, Ohio State football has the fourth-ranked recruiting class of 2025, according to 247Sports.

Texas, with 25 commits and three five-star prospects, owns the No. 1 class, followed by Alabama and Georgia.

The Buckeyes are top-rated among Big Ten teams, checking in one spot ahead of Oregon.

These are the rankings according to 247Sports. In parentheses are the number of five-star recruits each team has signed to this point. Overall class size matters as well, and varies from as many as Georgia’s 28 recruits to Oregon’s 20. OSU has 26 signees.

When did Ohio State last finish outside the top five in recruiting rankings?

Should the Buckeyes retain their ranking, they will have landed their fifth straight top-five recruiting class.

The last Ohio State class to finish outside the top five was the 2019 class, which ended up 14th in the 247Sports composite team rankings. Ohio State, however, still finished with the third-best average player rating that year, behind Alabama and Georgia.
