How did Joey McGuire, former Texas Tech football coaches vote in US LBM Coaches Poll?

Ohio State’s 34-23 conquest of Notre Dame in Monday’s College Football Playoff championship game gave the Buckeyes their ninth national title and their second in the CFP era. Ohio State swept through the newly expanded 12-team bracket with victories over Tennessee, Oregon and Texas before dispensing with the Fighting Irish.

On Tuesday, Ohio State and Notre Dame finished 1-2 in the final US LBM Coaches Poll. Notre Dame wasn’t unanimous at No. 2, though. Air Force coach Troy Calhoun put Oregon, 13-0 before its playoff loss to Ohio State, in that spot.

The panel of 53 coaches who participated in the poll included Texas Tech football coach Joey McGuire and former Red Raiders assistants Sonny Cumbie and Neal Brown. Cumbie is now head coach at Louisiana Tech, and Brown was head coach at West Virginia for six years before being let go in December.
