How did Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman vote in final US LBM Coaches Poll ballot?

Kansas State football had high hopes heading into the 2024 season as one of the favorites to reach the Big 12 championship game and ultimately advancing to the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff.

Instead, the Wildcats stumbled with three losses in their final four regular season games before rallying to beat Rutgers in the Rate Bowl, 44-41 and finishing with a 9-4 record.

It was the Wildcats’ fifth bowl appearance in six years under coach Chris Klieman and their third straight season with nine or more victories.

The first slip-up for the Wildcats during the regular season was an upset loss at Brigham Young in the Big 12 opener. But they still were well positioned at 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the league following a 29-27 come-from-behind victory over Kansas on Oct. 26.

That’s when the bottom fell out, starting with back-to-back losses to Houston (24-19) and Arizona State  (24-14), and after a convincing 41-13 senior day win over Cincinnati ended with a 29-21 setback at Iowa State.

So, what did Klieman think of the teams that did make the CFP field and some of the other contenders, including Big 12 teams? Here is his final ballot for the US LBM Coaches Poll.
